Dr. J Singh is the Managing Director at Early Stage IT. He is a former Director of Software Development at Fidelity Investments, where he served in line and staff roles over a 14 year career. For the last 10 years, he led development groups servicing startup companies (aka Capital Companies) within the Fidelity portfolio. He was responsible for onshore as well as offshore projects involved in state of the art applications. Among his responsibilities:
- Web services and technology integration for an internet-facing application.
- A web-based web-based customer service portal.
- A reconciliation and processing system for a charitable organization.
- An accounting system for Private Charitable Foundations.
- Automation of a records warehouse business managing about 500,000 boxes of records per warehouse.
- A time entry system for a temporary staffing company handling up to 20,000 temporary employees.
- A General Ledger and Accounts Payable system for ultra high net worth families subject to SEC audits.
Previously, he held line and staff positions for 11 years at Computervision, a CAD/CAM company. There he invented new products that enjoyed considerable market success.
In addition to Early Stage IT, Dr. Singh also consults on designing software with performance, scalability and availability.

Lately, Dr. Singh has been interested in Cell Biology and BioInformatics; he served as a Teaching Fellow for an undergraduate/graduate level course on BioInformatics at Harvard.

Responsible for managing the infrastructure for our clients. Early Stage IT will not host any of its own infrastructure — they will be housed at hosting companies and possibly in conjunction with SaaS offerings from Amazon, Google, etc. Minimum 10 yrs experience. Must be skilled in technology and adept at negotiating with providers.
VP, Mktg & Sales, TBH
Responsible for formulating a marketing strategy, managing the entire sales process via needs analysis, presentations/demonstrations, proposal negotiations and closing deals. The ideal candidate is familiar with startup activities in the New England area, aware of marketing/sales best practices and enjoy the shorter sales cycle compatible with early stage companies.
